The founder of Sharp Consultancy is:
Chris Sharp, Founder
He is a graduate in accounting and financial management, and commenced his recruitment career with a major PLC in London. A subsequent transfer brought further promotions to Leeds and the North. After a two-year spell with a national recruitment practice, Chris founded Sharp Consultancy, and as Director of Search & Selection continues to recruit for senior Finance Executives across the North of England in West and North Yorkshire and the whole of the North West. His clients include a variety of blue chip companies and increasingly, Finance Directors for venture capital or private equity backed businesses.
Mark Wilson, Managing Director
is a Chartered Accountant who qualified with KPMG in Sheffield. His career developed quickly following a move to industry, which included several key roles at controller and director level within PLCs and venture capital backed enterprises. Mark has worked closely with Sharp Consultancy since 1994 and is responsible for all commercial and operational matters.

Julian Woodman, Regional Director
joined Sharp Consultancy in 1993 and has been instrumental in assisting Chris to grow the company since its early days. He is a Business Studies graduate and has over 17 years financial recruitment experience. As Regional Director for the Sheffield and Doncaster offices, he is responsible for senior vacancies and also leads a team of dedicated consultants covering junior and newly qualified recruitment including temporary and interim accountants.
Lee Sweeney, Regional Director
commenced his career with one of the major banks developing his skills in sales and customer service management. Lee joined Sharp Consultancy in 1996 in the Sheffield office becoming a Director in July 2000 and subsequently opening our Leeds office. Lee advises major accounting practices, venture capitalists and banks in the North of England on the appointment of senior finance professionals covering, amongst others, corporate finance, corporate recovery and restructuring, audit, tax, leveraged and structured finance and private equity.
Simon Massey, Regional Director is the most recent addition to the Senior Management Team. Simon joined Sharp in 2008 with the responsibility of implementing, developing and driving Sharp Consultancy's North West Business Plan. Simon has over 10 years recruitment experience including hands on practical experience at all levels and sectors within Accounting and Finance. As a result Simon is well placed to support and drive his team combining this with the responsibility of Senior Permanent and Interim appointments across the North West.
