Sharp Scores a Strike for Flood Fund!
Seventeen of Sheffield’s most prominent businesses came together to take part in leading financial recruiter, Sharp Consultancy’s annual charity bowling tournament to help raise money for the South Yorkshire Flood Disaster Relief Fund.
Sharp’s charity bowling evening and raffle proved a huge success, raising £500 to help support those affected by this summer’s floods. International steel production and engineering company, Sheffield Forgemasters were the overall bowling champions followed closely by AES SEAL as the runners up. Paul Bowers from property maintenance and repairs company Enterprise Property Solutions was presented with the trophy for ‘Top Bowler’ of the tournament. Jonathan Hunt, Chairman of the South Yorkshire Community Foundation and High Sheriff of South Yorkshire, says: “For a business that was right in the middle of the flooding near Meadowhall we were delighted to hear that Sharp has raised funds for others affected by the June floods. Well done to everyone involved.” Sharp’s Managing Director Mark Wilson says: “This was our third and most successful bowling tournament to date. Everyone’s participation and enthusiasm on the evening was fantastic and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part and helped raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Congratulations to Sheffield Forgemasters who proved to be the best bowlers of the evening.”
