North West Finance Director Awards to be Launched

The awards will highlight the achievements of FDs across all business sectors and become one of the most anticipated corporate events in the business calendar.

Commenting on the launch of the awards, Chris Sharp, Founder of Sharp Consultancy said, “North West regional business is booming and we believe that it’s important to acknowledge the key role that Financial Directors have played in making the region the success that it is and are therefore calling for management boards to highlight the contributions that their FD’s have made to their individual businesses.

“The role of an FD has certainly changed dramatically over the years and although there is still a strong financial bias, it is the strategic and commercial input for which today’s FD is especially valued. We expect that with time, many of the regions most exceptional FD’s will become the Managing Directors and Chief Executives of tomorrow!”

The call for nominations will be launched in August, with a respected panel of judges interviewing semi finalists throughout October and November. The winners will then be announced at a celebratory dinner at one of Manchester’s most exclusive venues on Thursday 5th February 2009
